1900-31 A.C. Williams Cast Iron Skyscraper Bank
From the famous Donal Markey Collection comes this cast iron Skyscraper Bank produced by A.C. Williams. Produced for over 30 years it's fairly easy to find in used condition. However, this example with nearly 100% of it's original paint intact is an uncommon piece. Beautifully painted in silver and gold the Skyscraper bank was manufactured in 4 different sizes. This one measures 3-9/16" x 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" and was the smallest produced. The front and rear are identified by the gold doors painted at the bottom and the word "BANK" embossed at the top. The locking mechanism on this example has never been opened. Size: as indicated above. Sold: May 2011
